Okay. So, the "add your book to the poll idea" didn't work. Sorry guys. I am new to blogspot -- can you tell? :) It locked the poll after the voting began. The books that have been suggested are listed below. Add your suggestions and then we'll do a for real poll. This is getting to be a little crazy, isn't it? It will get better!!

p.s. A thought. My frustration with my book club (not you guys) is that I feel like I've lost my ability to choose a book for myself. I'm always reading what they choose for me. So my thought is that this Strong book club thing might not be monthly. Maybe we do the first book and see how it goes. Maybe it's so fabulous that we keep going next month. Maybe it will end up that we gather a couple times a year for a Strong ladies book reading -- say maybe in February, June, and October. Or maybe some of you will keep it going at all times. So many ways this could go. How do you see it?

Great question Jan. We will take a poll about what book to read. Anyone who has responded on this blog has received an invitation to be an author. As an author, you can go in and add books to the poll. (Or, you can leave your suggestions in the comments area and I'll add them for you.) I've added Kristi's suggestions to the poll. Katie - I looked at the Newbery Winners but wasn't sure which one you were thinking of. Any thoughts? Let's have our suggestions up by Wednesday, okay? Then, we'll start the voting and be ready to go with our book by next week.

p.s. If you tried to add a book to the poll and it didn't work, try again. I gave everyone admin privileges so it should work now.

Welcome!

Bree and I were talking today and we got on the subject of books. What have you read lately? What have you liked? Isn't it great that Katie has all her books on Good Reads now? That girl reads like crazy! And soon enough, Bree came up with this great idea. A Strong ladies book club/blog thing. It seems like everyone in this family loves to read (another reason I love you guys!). We could choose a book to read and then discuss it together on this blog. Wouldn't it be fun to read the same book at the same time?! Are you in? 

Of course, the first task will be to choose a book. Leave a list of suggestions in the comments and we'll put them to a poll where people can vote. We'll use the list for future selections too. You'll get an invitation to be an author of this blog so that any of us can make posts.

Come on.... think about it. All of our witty personalities, reading a fairly decent book and then writing about it online to each other. How could it get much better? (if only we could have treats via the internet!) Imagine the good ideas, the lovely banter, the extreme sarcasm and the overall Strong lady fun! This way-we can all hang out..via the WORLD wIDE web! I know, some of you are thinking that there is not one more minute in the day to read, let's be honest, that's kind of how I feel, but I'm willing to take a little extra time out from my daily TiVO schedule, to spend some time with my favorite cousins around the country!
